AAL 2025: A Year in Review

Dear community,

As 2025 comes to an end, thank you for being part of AAL’s year of building, teaching, and sharing AI for the built environment.

This year took us from classrooms to conference stages, from local professional institutes to global conversations—powered by collaborators, partners, students, and friends across the ecosystem.

To celebrate, we’re looking back at the 25 Moments that defined our 2025. Thank you to every partner, student, sponsor, and team member who made this possible.

 

 

Education & teaching 🎓

  • Teaching AI for NEC at HKU Engineer Department (with Robert Gerrard)

  • Teaching AI at PolyU

  • Lectured at CUHK on AI for Architects

  • Shared “LLMs for Architects” at The Hong Kong Institute of Architects

  • Launched Hong Kong’s first AI BIM course with Hong Kong Interior Design and Architecture Institute
